Garmin has two versions of its Tacx Nēra Indoor Smart Trainer models ( 010-02418-60 / 010-04825-60 ) coming to the US, both priced at $999.99. Garmin’s US store opens orders on October 23, 2026, and the two trainers we expect will available to pre-order from Amazon US on the same date.

Zwift Cog and Click on the 010-04825-60
The Zwift version comes with a Zwift Cog pre-installed in place of a cassette. According to Garmin, this makes the Tacx Nēra (010-04825-60) compatible with almost any 8- to 13-speed drivetrain when riding in Zwift and ROUVY. The Zwift Click mounts on the handlebar and controls virtual gears, and it can also steer, navigate menus and give Ride Ons.
After setup in the Tacx Training app, the trainer is ready for Zwift, and Garmin says new subscribers get a Zwift Membership offer. ERG mode workouts still work through compatible devices, including Garmin Edge cycling computers.
The standard Tacx Nēra (010-02418-60) is listed as Zwift Cog and Click compatible, so the same setup can be added later.
Resistance, Power and Ride Feel
Both models are rated at 2200W maximum power, a 20% maximum incline, 55 Nm maximum torque and 162.5 N maximum brake force. The flywheel weighs 6.13 kg, with a mass inertia figure of 35.9 kg. Garmin rates power and cadence accuracy within 1%, with no calibration required, and says the built-in multidirectional motion gives a realistic ride feel. ERG mode handles fluid resistance changes during structured workouts.
The trainers measure and output speed, cadence and power, and an odometer is available through the Tacx Training app.
Connectivity: Wi-Fi, ANT+, Bluetooth and Race Mode
Built-in Wi-Fi sits alongside ANT+ and Bluetooth, with a multicolour LED as the connection indicator. Race mode is meant for virtual races and group rides on Zwift and ROUVY, where Garmin says data transmission stays fast and reliable. BLE bridging is supported for heart rate sensors.
The Tacx Nēra can be controlled by a smartphone, tablet, ANT+ bike computer or a computer with an ANT+ antenna, and it also runs standalone. Data can be read out on a smartphone, tablet, bike computer, compatible smartwatch or computer. Rides can be reviewed later in Garmin Connect with automatic uploads turned on. The standard model’s listing adds a free 45-day trial of a Tacx Training premium subscription.
Frame, Axles and Storage
Folded, the Tacx Nēra drops from 629 x 779 mm to 629 x 408 mm, and a built-in handle helps with carrying. It runs on 100-240 VAC 50/60Hz power.
Supported axles:
- Quick release: 130 mm / 135 mm x 5 mm
- Thru axle: 142 mm / 148 mm x 12 mm end caps
- Garmin sells a separate 135 mm Thru-Axle Adapter Set for non-standard frames
