The listing carries no verified purchase reviews at present, since the 443 CADR variant is new to Amazon India. Two smaller models in the same range are also on the site: the Mijia by Xiaomi Air Purifier 4 Compact (PN BHR0A54IN), a three-stage 230 m³/h CADR unit listed at Rs.7,999 against an MRP of Rs.11,999, and the Xiaomi Air Purifier 4 Lite, a three-stage 360 m³/h CADR model with a laser sensor, which is out of stock.
A Note on the Model Number
Amazon India lists the Air Purifier 6 under the model number BHR5992IN, which is the same model number shown on the Air Purifier 4 Compact listing. The two are separated by their part numbers: BHR0A53IN for the Air Purifier 6 covered here, and BHR0A54IN for the 4 Compact. Check the part number and the CADR figure on the variant selector rather than the model number when ordering, since the model number alone does not identify which unit is in the cart.
What We Like About the Mijia by Xiaomi Air Purifier 6 (BHR0A53IN)
- 443 m³/h particle CADR: roughly double the 230 m³/h rating of the Air Purifier 4 Compact in the same range
- PM1 sensor alongside PM2.5: reads particles down to 1 micron rather than stopping at the more commonly reported 2.5 micron threshold
- UVC lamp and negative ion generator in the filter path: two stages beyond the primary, HEPA-grade and carbon layers that most purifiers at this size stop at
- 218 m³/h formaldehyde CADR: a separately rated figure for VOCs, which Xiaomi lists rather than folding into the particle number
- 32 dB rated noise level: low enough for Xiaomi to list a dedicated silent mode on a unit of this airflow
- Magnetic filter door and detachable top cover: filter changes and cleaning without tools
Filtration
Five stages sit in the airflow path. Air passes a primary filter, then a high-efficiency filter, then high-grade activated carbon, before reaching UVC light sterilisation and a negative ion generator.
Xiaomi states the system removes 99.98% of particles at 0.3 microns, 99.99% of H1N1 viruses, and 98% of formaldehyde and VOCs. The company also cites testing by SGS and ITS showing removal of 98.11% of dust mites, pollen and cat dander.
The filter is rated for a 12-month service interval, and the unit reports filter usage in real time through the app.
Coverage & Airflow
| Specification | Details |
|---|---|
| Particle CADR | 443 m³/h |
| Formaldehyde CADR | 218 m³/h |
| Rated room size | 312 to 538 sq ft |
| Coverage at 2 air changes per hour | up to 942 sq ft |
| Coverage area (spec sheet) | 900 sq ft |
| Stated clearing time | 400 sq ft in 12 minutes |
| Air flow level | 443 cu.m/hr |
| 3D circulation air flow | Yes |
The 942 sq ft figure is the larger-area rating at two air changes per hour, not the same measurement as the 312 to 538 sq ft rating. Xiaomi’s own specification sheet lists coverage area as 900 sq ft, and the product marketing rounds the 2 ACH figure to 940 sq ft, so the three figures come from different measurements rather than describing the same thing.
Sensors & Display
Five sensors feed the readout: PM1, PM2.5, a dust and allergen sensor, temperature, and humidity. Readings are tracked in real time and shown on an LCD colour screen on the unit.
App & Voice Control
The purifier connects to the Xiaomi Home app, which handles scheduling, mode changes and the filter usage counter. Voice control works through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Noise, Power and Convenience Features
Xiaomi rates the unit at 32 dB at its quietest, and a silent mode is available alongside the adjustable fan. Power consumption is listed at 40 W.
A child lock, a timer and automatic shut off are all included. On-unit indicators cover filter replacement, PM1, PM2.5, dust, humidity, and the current mode and fan speed. The purifier is a floor-standing room unit and is not designed to be portable.
