Switches and Typing
The Jelly75 Keyboard KD201 uses a built-in gasket mount structure. ASUS states this construction adds flexibility to the typing surface, reduces noise and dampens keypress vibrations.
Hot-swap sockets sit under every key, so switches can be pulled and replaced without any soldering work. ASUS rates the switches fitted at the factory for a 50 million click lifespan.
Keycaps are anti-slip PC plastic. The space bar and Esc key are finished in a contrasting colour against the rest of the deck.
Connectivity and Polling Rates
Three connection methods are on offer: 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth and wired USB. Across those, the keyboard pairs with up to five devices and switches between them without re-pairing.
Dedicated system switch keys toggle between Windows and macOS layouts, so the modifier keys map correctly on either platform.
Polling rate is adjustable. Pressing Fn + T raises the wired polling rate to 1000Hz and the 2.4GHz wireless polling rate to 500Hz.
