Another model to check out is a second MHWY4HN/A listing on Amazon India, also with the M6’s 12-core CPU and 12-core GPU, 32GB unified memory and a 1TB SSD, at Rs.2,69,964 against an MRP of Rs.2,87,900. It also releases on November 7, 2026.
The M6 sits at the base of the 2026 MacBook Pro family, below the M5 Pro and M5 Max. All three chips have a Neural Accelerator in each GPU core, and Apple says AI tasks run up to 13x faster than on M1. The M6 pairs that with a Dual 16-core Neural Engine, while the M5 Pro and M5 Max use a single 16-core Neural Engine. Apple pitches the chip for on-device AI work such as LLM prompts and custom agents, and Apple Intelligence with Siri AI is supported.
Battery life is rated at up to 24 hours, which Apple puts at 4 hours more than the M1 MacBook Pro. Performance is the same on battery as when plugged in.
The 14.2-inch (36.1cm) Liquid Retina XDR display reaches 1,600 nits peak and 1,000 nits sustained brightness, with a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio.
For calls there’s a 12MP Center Stage camera and three studio-quality mics. Audio comes from six speakers with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos support.
Ports cover three Thunderbolt ports (Thunderbolt 4 or 5 depending on the chip), MagSafe 3, an SDXC card slot, HDMI and a headphone jack. Apple’s N1 wireless chip brings Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. The M6 model supports up to two external displays.
Touch ID handles unlocking and app sign-ins, and FileVault encrypts files on the drive. iPhone Mirroring, Universal Clipboard, Messages and FaceTime calls work across Apple devices.
