The Sony Xperia 1 VIII includes an AI Camera Assistant powered by Xperia Intelligence. The system recognizes the scene by combining factors such as the subject and weather conditions to suggest settings for color tones, lens effects, and bokeh expressions. These suggestions are based on the Creative Look settings found in Sony’s Alpha™ cameras.

The telephoto camera uses a 1/1.56-inch Exmor RS™ for mobile sensor, which is approximately four times larger than the previous generation’s telephoto sensor. This allows for increased detail and noise reduction when shooting distant subjects. The three rear cameras—16mm, 24mm, and 70mm—provide noise reduction and dynamic range performance intended to be comparable to full-frame sensors. RAW multi-frame processing is applied to all lenses to expand the dynamic range and reduce noise in low-light environments.

Display & ORE Design

The smartphone is equipped with a 6.5-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2340) HDR OLED display. It has a 120Hz refresh rate and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Features include Sunlight Vision and Creator Mode, with image processing powered by BRAVIA™.

The ORE design incorporates natural materials and textures. Color options include Graphite Black, Iolite Silver, Garnet Red, and Native Gold. The camera module design integrates the new telephoto hardware, while the sides and back use processed materials for a unified look. The surface textures are designed for grip and handling. At the foundation of the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 Dual Edition is the Zen 5 architecture on the Granite Ridge AM5 platform. CPU cores are built on TSMC’s 4nm FinFET process; the I/O die uses TSMC 6nm. The overall package uses 3 dies.

What distinguishes this from earlier X3D chips is the dual-stack AMD 3D V-Cache approach — second-generation 3D V-Cache is applied across all 16 cores simultaneously, resulting in 192 MB of total L3 cache. Previous single-stack X3D implementations placed stacked cache on only a subset of cores. AMD positions this chip at developers and creators whose workflows benefit from large, low-latency caches.

At the heart of the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 is a 1-inch CMOS sensor paired with an f/2.0 aperture lens (20 mm format equivalent, focus range 0.2 m to ∞). The sensor delivers up to 14 stops of dynamic range along with a 10-bit D-Log color profile for richer detail and flexible grading.

Slow-motion capture goes up to 4K (3840×2160) at 240fps, with 1080p slow-motion available at 120fps and 240fps. Standard 4K records at up to 60fps in 16:9, and 3K vertical (1728×3072) is also supported up to 60fps for social-first formats. Maximum video bitrate is 180 Mbps (MP4/HEVC).

Still photography reaches a maximum image size of 7680×4320 (16:9) with single shot output around 37 MP. Photo ISO range covers 50–12800, while low-light video can push ISO to 25600.

3-Axis Stabilization with ActiveTrack 7.0

The mechanical 3-axis gimbal smooths out walking, running, and handheld motion. Controllable range is Pan: -235° to 58°, Tilt: -120° to 70°, and Roll: -45° to 45°, with a maximum controllable speed of 180°/s and angular vibration range of ±0.005°.

Brightness reaches 450 nits (both typical and peak HDR), and the panel carries HDR10 and VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. Native contrast ratio is 2000:1, and the display renders 1.07 billion colours.

Gamut coverage hits 99% P3 and 99% sRGB, with eight colour modes to choose from: Display P3, sRGB, HDR, M-book, User, Game, ePaper, and Cinema. Colour temperature is adjustable between 5000K, 6500K, 9300K, or a user-defined value, and gamma ranges from 1.8 to 2.6 with an sRGB preset.

Nano Gloss Panel Coating

Instead of a standard matte or glossy finish, the BenQ MA270S uses a Nano Gloss coating. Mac-Specific Colour Tuning – M-book Mode, ICCsync, Display Pilot 2

The MA270S is built around the Mac workflow. M-book mode matches the colour output to what a MacBook screen produces, so dragging a window between the laptop and external monitor keeps colours consistent.

ICCsync automatically loads the correct ICC colour profile when switching between colour modes.
