Samsung has officially launched the 2025 Galaxy A17 5G Android Smartphone in India online. The price ranges from Rs 18,999 – Rs 23,499 ( Launch Prices | MRP: Rs 21999 – Rs 23499 ).
At the time of writing, Amazon India ( Amazon.in ) has listed these models in stock, currently sold by Clicktech Retail Private Ltd ( our recommended seller ). It is available in 3 color options – Black, Blue, and Grey.
There is also a non-5G Galaxy A17 variant, which comes in Light Blue, Grey, and Black colors.

The 2025 Galaxy A17 5G is a lower mid-range Android smartphone powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 1330 5nm chipset. It is an octa-core processor with 2x Cortex-A78 cores @ 2.4GHz and 6x Cortex-A55 cores @ 2.0Ghz. For graphics, it has a Mali-G68 MP2 GPU.
The base model comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. You can also buy this in other RAM + Storage configurations – 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. If you want more storage, you would be happy to know that it houses a MicroSD slot and supports up to 2 TB cards.
2025 Galaxy A17 5G features a 6.7-inch 1080 x 2340 (FHD+) resolution Super AMOLED display. The max refresh rate supported is 90Hz. The screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The max brightness it supports is 800nits.
In the camera department, Samsung has equipped this model with a triple camera setup at the back. The main camera is a 50MP sensor with an F1.8 aperture lens and supports OIS image stabilization. Along with it is a 5MP F2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera as well as a 2MP F2.4 aperture macro camera.
On the front, you get a 13.0 MP F2.0 aperture lens for your selfies and video calls.
The max resolution video recording the rear camera supports is Full HD (1920 x 1080)@30fps ( No 4K support ). 120fps @HD slow mo is supported.
Samsung has powered the 2025 Galaxy A17 5G with a 5000mAh battery. It ships with the Android 15 ( One UI 7 ) operating system, and Samsung is promising up to 6 major Android upgrades along with security OTA updates ( Valid until 31 August 2031 ).
Google Gemini AI comes built in and supports features like Circle to Search and Gemini Live.
The fingerprint sensor on this phone is on the side. Accelerometer, Gyro Sensor, Geomagnetic Sensor, Light Sensor, and Virtual Proximity Sensing are the other sensors available.
When it comes to wireless connectivity, it supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac 2.4GHz+5GHz and Bluetooth 5.3. The port it has is a USB Type-C one ( USB 2.0 Version ).
GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo, and QZSS are supported.
This smartphone weighs 192g. It has an IP54 protection ( not waterproof – but can survive splashes ).
